Properties: Terephthalaldehyde is a white crystal and can sublimate. It is easy to be dissolved in alcohol and is soluble in ether, alkali and hot water but insoluble in cold water.
Applications: Terephthalaldehyde is an intermediate for organic synthesis of pesticides, perfumes, dyes, medicines, plastics, etc., and mainly used in Fluorescent Whitening Agent ER and synthetic plastics.
